Which phone suits me?

All four of our phones run exactly the same GrapheneOS with the same protections. So you are not picking a level of privacy, only hardware.

Start from what you want

Three common reasons people come to us, with the device that fits each best.

I mainly want to leave Google

You do not need the most expensive device to run completely without Google. The 8a does exactly what the 10 does, just with a lesser camera and a shorter update window.

Our pick

GrapheneOS Pixel 8a€700

It has to become my only phone

If this becomes your daily device you want a battery and camera you are not compromising on. The 9a is the most sensible point on the price line for that.

Our pick

GrapheneOS Pixel 9a€800

I want the longest possible runway

Security updates are the only thing that truly matters long term: without patches any device becomes unsafe. The 10 has the longest support and the newest secure element.

Our pick

GrapheneOS Pixel 10€1.050

The four side by side

Only the differences you notice. Everything privacy-related is identical across all four.

What you do not need to spend money on

We would rather sell you less than have you buy something you do not need.

  • The most expensive device. The gap between the 8a and the 10 is camera and update length, not how well you are protected.
  • A subscription to a “secure” messaging service. Molly and Threema are already installed, and Signal itself is free.
  • Two phones side by side. GrapheneOS runs multiple profiles on one device, fully separated from each other.

Still not sure?

Send us one message about what you want to use it for. We will tell you honestly which device is enough, even if that is the cheapest one.
